Christina Haack and her estranged husband Josh Hall were seen getting into an ugly spat during a sneak peek of the upcoming series premiere of “The Flip Off.”

Haack and her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, are competing in a real estate-flipping contest. Tarek’s new wife, former “Selling Sunset” star Heather El Moussa, is also on the show, Fox News reports.

The reality TV star and her then-husband, Josh, were filming together when cameras caught a heated conversation in the car, days before the couple decided to end their marriage, with Josh citing “irreconcilable differences.”

The show was announced in May and began production shortly afterwards. Hall and Haack both filed for divorce in July.

“This is a competition. We gotta pull out all stops. Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it. Halls rule!” he told Haack while driving.

“You’re supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows that you’re with me.”

He continued: “Remember, you’re a Hall now. Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is. You’re rude.”

“I don’t over talk,” Haack finally replied to her then-husband in a low tone.

The conversation took a turn.

“The s**t you say, and I’m just like, I wish you’d shut up already. My wife is p***ing me off already,” Hall said.

Haack ended the hostile conversation with her then-husband by asking, “Are we there yet?”

Haack and Hall initially signed up to take part in “The Flip Off” together, with the series, which is a spin-off of her and Tarek’s popular show “Flip or Flop,” initially billed as a couples’ head-to-head competition between the Halls and the El Moussas.

Since their bitter break-up, Hall has been erased from all the show’s promos and Haack reverted back to her maiden name in all press releases for the series.

HGTV recently teased the mother-of-three will be “on her own” in the series after Hall’s departure, but will turn to her “trusted team” for help.

In a previously released clip, Haack was breaking down in tears as she opened up to Tarek about the breakdown of her marriage, admitting to him that things between her and Hall had become so toxic that her children had actually begged her to leave him.

“We had a blow-up — middle fingers in my face,” she said, tearing up. “Things with Josh have been bad for a long time.”

“The kids literally asked me to leave,” she went on. “They told me he’s not nice to me, why would I stick around.

“I feel like I’m in a tornado all the time, and I just can’t get out of it.”

In tears, Haack admitted to Tarek that her life has been in turmoil “since 2016″ — two years before their marriage came to an end — before candidly apologizing to him for the “s**t ” she has done.

“Everything since 2016 has been so hard and so horrible,” she said.

“It’s really taken a really bad toll on me. I’m really sorry for the s**t I do, I really do.”

Her breakdown left Tarek reeling — and he appeared to be choking back tears as he confessed his feelings of guilt over her difficult experiences, taking ownership of the part he has played in her turmoil.

“I understand that feeling of being a little bit lost,” he said. “And I acknowledge that I’m a big part, if not the entire part, of all of this.”

Since Haack and Hall announced their split, their divorce proceedings have gone from bad to worse, with both involved in some very public mudslinging, both in court and on social media.

Toward the end of 2024, Hall tried to block Haack from selling her $US4.5 million ($A6.9 million) Tennessee farmhouse, where he had been living since moving out of their shared $US12 million ($A18.5 million) mansion in Newport Beach, California, Realtor reports.

In court documents filed by Hall’s lawyers as part of a temporary emergency order to try to halt the sale of the home, he claimed that, while Haack bought the house before they married, the “paydown of the mortgage during marriage” entitles him to a say in what becomes of the dwelling.

“The community maintains an appreciation interest due to the paydown of the mortgage during marriage,” he wrote.

“A premature sale may result in prejudice to me as property values continue to rise in Tennessee, which continues to grow in population.”

He further claimed that Haack had asked for his “written agreement” to sell the home on September 23 but insisted that he refused.

However, while the home was temporarily taken off the market, it has since been relisted with the same asking price.
