McGrath Estate Agents has opened a new office in a Sydney hot spot as another agency, Atlas, boosted its ranks on the lower north shore.
Heading up the new McGrath McMahons Point office will be leading agent Nigel Mukhi, who returns to McGrath after six years, as co-principal, alongside his partners John Paranchi, Peter Chancy and Tracey Dixon.
The office will service the harbour foreshore areas from McMahons Point to Kirribilli and further up to North Sydney, which Mukhi says are now some of the most liveable in Sydney — especially with the opening of the Metro.

“The new Sydney Metro has added immense value to the whole precint, making the commute to many surrounding areas much quicker,” Mukhi said.
North Sydney’s new Victoria Cross Station for the Metro means commuters can be in Barangaroo in three minutes and Martin Place in five minutes, with Chatswood also just five minute’s away and it’s 15 minutes to Macquarie Park.
McGrath CEO John McGrath welcomed Mukhi back to the company’s fold, describing him as “one of the best agents in Australia for over a decade — his laser focus on the lower north shore of Sydney has seen him build an enviable client base like no other”.
He had 47 sales totalling $172m over 2024.
Mukhi will be joined by another top sales agent, Annika Bongiorno, who has already returned to McGrath after several years with Stone Real Estate.
McGrath McMahons Point will become the sixth office in the group led by Paranchi, Chauncy and Dixon. Others are located in Mosman, Crows Nest, Willoughby, Hunters Hill and Lane Cove.
In other agent moves on the lower north shore, top performer Anna Chen has joined the Atlas team.
Chen has worked across high-end residential, luxury hotel and development sales for a decade and, over the past two years, achieved some mega deals, including the highest auction sale ever in Seaforth at $15.7m last year and the Seaforth record sale of $11.75m the year before.
News Corp named her the top female agent in NSW last year.
Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Hokkien, she excels in serving both local and international clients.
Chen said she was “excited” to be joining Atlas, and the firm’s managing director, Peter Kakos, said: “Anna’s proven success and her passion for delivering outstanding results perfectly align with the high standards we set at Atlas.”
Meanwhile, in agent moves in the east, Paddington and Woollahra specialist Peter Perry has returned to BresicWhitney after almost a decade.
Perry began his career in sales almost a decade ago and said he was “delighted” to be returning.
BresicWhitney CEO Thomas McGlynn said Perry was a “natural fit” for his firm: “Being able to attract high-performing agents like Peter to join our existing strong team is a testament to our vision, our environment and our culture.”
After selling $2.5bn of Sydney property last year, McGlynn said BresicWhitney was readying for more success this year.
Looking to expand in key lifestyle markets, a physical office in the eastern suburbs is “on the cards” following the launch of its architect-designed lower north shore office.
