Kyle’s new holiday pad isn’t as glamorous as the PM’s, but there’s a terrific floorplan and amazing views.

Kyle Sandilands has snapped up a “fixer-upper” holiday home, just four minutes’ drive from Albo’s $4.3m mansion at Copacabana on the Central Coast.

And although it’s not nearly as grand, there are beach views — and the radio star paid considerably less: $1.8m, down from the $1,995,000 asking price when it first hit the market last January.

Sandilands revealed that he and wife Tegan Kyaston had bought in Copacabana when speaking with Triple M Central Coast presenters Paddy Gerard and Maz Compton.

He didn’t say exactly where, though he did say the couple had considered the house Prime Minister Anthony Albanese bought but decided the backyard wouldn’t be appropriate for their young son, Otto.

“We were looking [on The Central Coast] because my wife’s family, her mum, her brothers [have homes there],” Sandilands said.

“We looked at the same place the Prime Minister bought. It’s a beautiful place. But the backyard, it’s 6m of lawn and then 30m of cliff to your death and with a two-year-old I thought it wasn’t good.”

After the tip-off from Sandilands himself on radio, it didn’t take too long to discover the family-friendly home the couple are rumoured to have purchased.

It’s described as a “beachside entertainer with picturesque views”.

The sales agent was no help, but other sources were.

Sandilands was spotted close by the house yesterday. It’s yet to settle — there’s a long settlement — but it’s understood he bought for $1.8m on November 20 last year.

The home looks to be a savvy purchase — the perfect holiday pad for a young family.

The blurb describes it as “soaked in sunlight and positioned to maximise the views”.

“This three-bedroom home offers a family focused layout with an ideal construction for future development,” it continues.

So rather than a knockdown, the floor plan is already perfect — the large open-plan living areas open to wraparound balconies.
And how’s this: “Amazing picturesque views of Copacabana Beach and Macmasters headland.”

Three “generous” bedrooms.

There are also three bathrooms.

There are three “generous” bedrooms with built-ins and security shades; plus three bathrooms, including a master ensuite.

Another bonus is the rumpus room by the garage, plus there’s ducted air-con, waterproof security shutters. secure gated entry, the lock-up garage, private rear yard and landscaped gardens.

It’s just a short walk to the beach, with trendy cafes, restaurants and bars nearby.

Sandilands married wife Tegan Kynaston in a $1m ceremony at famed $100m+ Sydney mansion Swifts in 2023 which Albanese attended.

The couple are parents to son Otto.

Sandilands said he remained friends with Albanese but he wouldn’t vote for him in the upcoming Federal Election.

“He asked me not to say this during the election but I’m a Liberal voter. I like Albo but I don’t like any of his policies,” Sandilands said.

The kitchen could do with a makeover, but hey, it works!

The radio shock jock also said he wasn’t sure how the news he had bought on The Central Coast would be received by locals.

“We drove past a handwritten sign that said – celebrities not welcome here – and I didn’t think anything of it and then my wife said that’s for you,” he said.

When told by the Triple M presenters he wasn’t a celebrity, Sandilands said: “I feel a lot better now.”

Sandilands is said to be on a salary of $10m a year plus bonuses with KIIS FM.

In December 2023, he bought his luxury $14m Vaucluse mansion with plans to renovate.

In July of 2023, Sandilands bought a $3m castle in Glenorie in Sydney’s Hills District.

Last month it was revealed Sandilands had begun a make-over of the home.

“The renovation has started, we are renovating right now,” he told his listeners.

In December Sandilands offloaded his Far North Queensland home for $2.55m and said at the time he was looking for a weekender closer to Sydney. Presumably, he has found it on The Central Coast.
