Australia’s big name radio personalities like to put their money into luxury real estate.


Australia’s top radio stars are making big property moves with their impressive incomes from the nation’s most popular networks such as Nova, KIIS, Hit and 2GB.

When not behind the mic, they’re going home to some of the nation’s most sought-after spots, while others who retired this year are kicking up their feet in luxurious locations.

From Rose Bay mansions to studio apartments bought in the 90s when they were just starting out, these are the homes where the nation’s most-familiar voices have bought and sold.

One of the big-time KIIS FM star’s latest property purchases with his wife Tegan Kynaston was their home in Sydney’s Vaucluse that they bought for $14m.

The pair snapped up the pad in November 2023, which sits on a more than 1000sq m block and offers views of the harbour, Harbour Bridge and the city.

Another property the radio mogul owns is in Sydney’s Hills, which he purchased in March 2022 for $3m.

Kyle and Tegan Sandilands’ Mowbray home is currently under offer.


The Glenorie acreage has eight bedrooms, a pool with a slide and paddock.

He and his wife’s Mowbray getaway — 11km south of Port Douglas in Queensland — is also under offer for $2.5m. They originally bought it in 2020 for $1.3m.

The three-bedroom house sits high on a mountain with panoramic views of the surrounding tropics.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson

Jackie ‘O’ snapped up a home in Clovelly in 2023.


KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show co-host snapped up her current Clovelly home in March 2023 for $13.25m — $1.25m above its reserve price.

Henderson has since had plans approved to knock down and build a new concrete and steel residence.

The radio and television star formerly owned a Woollahra pad, which she purchased for $11m

in 2020.

Another home Henderson owned with her ex-husband Lee Henderson was the five-bedroom digs at Vaucluse.

The pair bought the residence for $2.7m in 2012 and sold it for $6.675m in March 2020.

Abbie Chatfield

Abbie Chatfield owns two properties in New South Wales.


The former radio host turned-podcaster Abbie Chatfield’s most recent property play was when she snagged a Sydney bolthole in 2022 for $1.758m.

Chatfield bought the two-bedroom apartment in Tamarama that spans about 80sq m and features a sunroom.

The ex-Hot Nights star also owns a timber cottage in the Byron Bay hinterland region that she secured for $1.45m in November 2021.

It’s understood the 26-year old at the time saved a deposit primarily with what she earned from her vibrator range with Vush and radio contract with the Hit network.

The two-bedroom home was formerly known as La Casa Black and was built using recycled materials.

Ray Hay may enjoy his retirement in his Pretty Beach residence he bought in 2023.


Aussie talkback radio broadcaster Ray Hadley is set to retire from hosting the morning program on Sydney’s 2GB.

From initially living in a Dundas housing commission during his childhood, Hadley now owns a five-bedroom waterfront abode in Pretty Beach — about 100km north of Sydney — which he bought for $2.8m in May 2023.

He sold the five-bedroom farmhouse for $7.6m in 2021.


The radio host also sold a sprawling 2.19ha Dural property in June 2021 for $7.6m.

Property records show Hadley secured the five-bedroom farmhouse, which can accommodate 10 cars and has two swimming pools, in August 2015.

It also has two houses on the title with the main residence built in 2006.

Amanda Keller

Amanda Keller purchased a townhouse in Newtown in 2023.


Gold FM radio host Amanda Keller and her husband Harley Oliver’s latest purchase was a Newtown townhouse for $1.923m in 2023.

The three-bedroom residence is on a 343sq m block and has polished concrete floors throughout, a courtyard across its two levels.

The Jonsey and Amanda co-host and her husband also have a weekender in Culburra Beach on New South Wales’ south coast that they bought in 2021 for $1.475m.

And their main residence is in Coogee bought by the couple in March 2001 for $900,000, according to CoreLogic, which they’ve filed multiple development applications on.

2Day FM radio presenter and Sky News Australia contributor Erin Molan owns a Bellevue Hill apartment in Sydney that she snapped up for $2.475m in October 2021.

It has an open-plan living and dining area as well as a terrace that has views of the Royal Sydney Golf Course.

She also sold a two-bedroom apartment in Randwick for $1.68m that she owned with her ex-husband Sean Ogilvy at the end of 2021.

Dave Hughes

Comedian and radio host Dave Hughes famously purchased a house on the finale of the 2017 season of The Block.

Couple Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker won that season thanks to the Hughes when he purchased the five-bedroom Elsternwick house in Melbourne for $3.067m — 4447,000 above the pairs reserve price.

He last listed the renovated pad for rent in April 2021 for $2000 a week.

Hughes formerly co-hosted the radio show Hughesy, Ed and Erin on 2DayFM but it was axed in August this year.

Another home he owns is a three-bedroom Victorian terrace in St Kilda he bought for $2.112m in November 2014.

It’s understood he listed the property for sale at one stage before it came off the market.

Carrie Bickmore

Carrie Bickmore has offloaded two properties in the past few years.


The Carrie & Tommy co-host on the Hit Network show sold the Byron Bay home in 2023 for $4.3m that she bought with her ex-husband, Chris Walker.

Property records show Bickmore purchased the five-bedroom weatherboard residence for $3m in January 2018, later adding a pool deck and spa at a cost of around $100,000.

She also offloaded her former family home in Ivanhoe for $3.71m in March 2022.

Bickmore then purchased a five-bedroom house for $1.59m, according to property data.

Ben Fordham

Ben Fordham purchased a studio apartment in Elizabeth Bay in 1997 that he still owns.


The sports reporter and host of 2GB’s morning program has owned an investment property in Elizabeth Bay since 1997.

Fordham purchased the studio apartment for $139,000, according to property records.

He also sold his family’s Redfern home for $3.2m in 2017.

The four-bedroom house was originally purchased by Fordham for $1.7m in June 2010.

Michael “Wippa” Wipfli

Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli bought their Rose Bay home for $6.5m in 2019.


The Nova co-host of the breakfast show Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Richie bought a home in Rose Bay for $6.5m in 2019 with his wife, Lisa.

Sat on a large 700sq m block, the six-bedroom mansion was purchased after Wippa sold his former Queens Park family abode for $2.4m.

Wipfli also sold a Brisbane investment property in 2021 for $775,000.

Also a co-host of the Nova breakfast show with Fitzy and Wippa, as well as being a former Home and Away star, Kate Ritchie has made a number of moves in Sydney’s property market.

She owned a Bellevue Hill apartment which she sold for $885,000 in December 2020.

Ritchie purchased the two-bedroom unit for $355,000 in June 2000 when she was acting as Sally Fletcher on Home and Away.

The four-bedroom abode ‘Fallow Field’ was purchased by the pair for $1.75m in 2016, featuring a tree-lined driveway and an 1800s carriage house with a hayloft.

Chrissie Swan

Chrissie Swan has owned a few properties in some of Melbourne’s most prestigious suburbs.


Chrissie Swan, who has a namesake radio show on Nova FM every weekday afternoon, is known to have purchased a couple Victorian properties over the years.

Swan bought a house in one of Melbourne’s most prestigious suburbs, Hawthorn East in 2017 for $3.2m after she offloaded her former abode.

This South Yarra home was offloaded by Swan in 2018.


She sold the home for $4.05m.
