In addition, Dean and Sonia’s daughter Lucy, a university student who works freelance behind the scenes in films and television, has worked on some of Neeson’s projects.

Dean said he and Sonia had decided had sell their four-bedroom house, where they have lived for 12 years, in order to move closer to family and their daughters’ education.

When BigginScott Glen Waverley director Ming Xu suggested making a video to showcase the house, Dean said he would “make some calls”.

He contacted Neeson, who is currently in Victoria to film the action-thriller The Mongoose.

And while the Irish-born actor’s rehearsal schedule was too busy for him to appear in the real estate video in-person, he was happy to lend his voice to the clip.

Dean pulled together a script as a tongue-in-cheek tribute to Neeson’s blockbuster Taken movie franchise.

“I sent him a little script and he said he had made a couple of little changes.” Dean said.

Neeson recorded his voiceover and sent it to Lucy, who helped to co-ordinate the entire process, acting as the video’s unofficial casting agent.

The Mulgrave abode’s clip, which the Wind Up Media group also worked on, opens with Mr Xu sitting at the house when Neeson rings him to request a video of the residence.

“So, you better be quick or the otherwise this home will be taken,” Mr Xu replies.

In a later scene, Mr Xu is sitting in the pool when fellow listing agent Jing Chen approaches to say Neeson has arrived.

During another phone call, Mr Xu say to Neeson, “I didn’t give you the address” – to which Neeson replies: “I told you I’d find you”.

Dean said he thought that adding Neeson’s voice to the video would be a quirky and fun touch.

“Not many actors would do that for a buddy at the end of the day,” Dean said.

“He’s a very generous guy.”

In return for the voiceover, Neeson asked Sonia to buy some fresh berries to include in the breakfast yoghurts he likes to eat.

“We might even invite him over for an Italian meal if he has time while filming,” Dean said.

BigginScott Glen Waverley director Ming Xu said that while the home stood out with a pool, he expected the Neeson connection would catch much broader attention.

“There’s a mix of possible buyers, from first-home buyers and others wanting to get into the area – we are also seeing buyers coming from other suburbs looking for a low maintenance lifestyle,” Mr Xu said.

He added that the renovated home was also likely to appeal to buyers who were looking for a home with no work needing to be done to it at a time when many homes in need of an update were not gaining as much attention.

The house will be auctioned at 10am on March 1.
