An Adelaide unit may just prove to be the bargain of the year, offering buyers a unique walk-in-walk out opportunity, complete with all furnishings, electronics, a rare antique collection and even an e-scooter, for a crazy low price.

The renovated two-bedroom home 1405/15 Synagogue Place, has been listed for sale with a price guide of $500,000 to $550,000 – almost $100,000 cheaper than the median price for a unit across greater Adelaide, according to the latest PropTrack figures.

The catch? There isn’t one, according to selling agent Marco Lai of Ray White Adelaide City, who claims the unique sale was prompted by the vendor’s requirement to relocate interstate.

“They are moving interstate so they are wanting a walk-in-walk-out deal which is something that is quite suitable for the current market because we see a lot of people buying to live in something straight away,” he said.

“We already had a fair few inquiries and we purposely launched it to the market over the Australia Day period to get more interest and people calling.

“I think it’s a really good deal as it’s just ready to go…and the vendor was originally thinking to put in a car (in the deal) as well but that idea got rejected by the partner.

“It would have been a great (package) as the apartment comes with a car park, so it would have made sense.”

An e-scooter, along with an antique collection, are also included in the sale.

While not a car, the sale does include an e-scooter for easy CBD commuting, with Adelaide University located just across the road and both Rundle Mall and the Botanic Gardens mere minutes away.

A boon to buyers will also be a top of the range 1200-game stand-up digital pinball machine and an antique hall table and a mirror, adorned with crystal candle holders, along with a 19th-century taxidermy mongoose with a python, bringing good luck for the Year of the ‘Snake’ in 2025.

A pinball machine with over 1200 games is sure to be a hit with younger buyers.

Mr Lai said the home could prove an ideal investment, with Airbnbs in the city highly sought after, or a home away from home for international students who often struggle to secure rentals.

“It would be perfect for a young professional but I also deal with a lot of people looking for apartments and who arrive in Adelaide for a very short period of time,” he said.

“It’s very hard for them to rent a place because they are not sure how long they are going to stay. But if you buy an apartment, you can just lease it out easily.”

Land Services SA records show the unit last sold in 2023 for $360,000.
