A stately trophy home with a tennis court and pool that appeared as the Mosman Daily House of the Week last month has sold for a suburb-record breaking price.
The five-bedroom residence at 27 Harriette St, Kurraba Point has sold for exactly $25m, according to CoreLogic.
That was the price guide offered by Richard Simeon and Samantha Loan of Simeon Partners and Monika Tu of Black Diamondz in the expressions of interest campaign, that was due to close on December 3 but later extended by two weeks because of “buyers in the background”.
The deal was finally done on Friday night, with the purchasers a family from the upper north shore.

$1bn record reveals insane Aussie trend
It breaks the previous record of $20m in June 2022 for 31A Shellcove Rd, paid byVirginia Nelson, wife of the late tobacco magnate Arthur Nelson, who in the 1990s was the rich-list owner of Australia’s biggest tobacco wholesaler.
The owners of Harriette St, which has five bathrooms and a double garage (plus off-street parking for five more vehicles) were investor Sandy Jan and foreign exchange dealer Tony Collick, who’d bought it for $16.5m via Simeon in 2016 — a suburb record at the time.
The vendors back then had been HSBC Bank Australia chairman Grant King and his wife Jenny.
In the recent House of the Week, Craze wrote that the mansion, known as Glencairn, was reminiscent of a grand historic estate and a modern take on traditional estate living.
Rebuilt in 2010, it sits on a vast 2561sq m across two titles incorporating a full tennis court, pool and established gardens by renowned landscape designers Peter Fudge and Annie Wilkes.
At the time it was listed, Simeon said: “Although the owners haven’t made many changes, the home was rebuilt to incorporate the highest standard of modern day design with soaring ceilings, classic staircases and marble bathrooms.
“There’s all the grandeur of yesteryear, but with today’s sophisticated Hamptons and Georgian themes,” Mr Simeon said.
“It’s so rare to have a grand tennis court estate with a residence built to modern day standards and incredible harbour views.”
The home features more than 715sq m of interior living plus expansive Travertine terraces showcasing the enviable water backdrop.
Created with entertaining in mind, the property also has a poolside cabana and wellness space complete with sauna, spa, kitchenette and bathroom.
