It’s the end of an era for Hollywood power couple Teresa Palmer and Mark Webber who have parted ways with their Adelaide Hills “sanctuary” in an interstate move.

The couple’s Scott Creek property at 11 Carthew Rd has officially sold in a multi-offer deal, according to selling agent Ben Clarke of Williams Real Estate.

Mr Clarke was unable to disclose the final sale price, however Land Services SA records show the property has a capital value of $1.575m.

“The property attracted outstanding interest from a diverse pool of interstate buyers,” he said,

“While the final sale price remains confidential, we received multiple competitive offers following strong engagement, with 75 groups attending inspections and an impressive 20,000-plus online views over a three-week campaign.

“Buyers were drawn to the property’s combination of privacy and tranquillity, offering an idyllic country lifestyle just 20 minutes from (Adelaide) CBD.”

First announcing the sale on Instagram in early November, the 38-year-old shared snapshots of sentimental memories from decades spent at the expansive Scott Creek property, which has been owned by the Palmers for well over 30 years.

Situated on 4ha of land, the three-bedroom home features an infinity edge pool and spa, a playground, “enchanting” pockets of native bushland, a dam and code-gated entry with high secure fencing.

The home’s master bedroom is light-filled and spacious.

The kitchen has featured in plenty of Instagram posts, including for Palmer’s supplement brand Lovewell.

The home itself is modern, with large windows framing sweeping views and open spaces that flow seamlessly to the outdoors.

An enormous living space offers plenty of room to entertain, while a central kitchen and dining area connect to a study and two bedrooms.

A separate dwelling labelled “The Old House” provides additional accommodation.

“Every so often, a place becomes more than just a home” Palmer said on Instagram.

“It becomes a keeper of stories, a witness to generations of laughter, love and life.

“That’s what this sanctuary in Scott Creek, Adelaide Hills has been for us, a place where memories are not just made, but woven into the fabric of the land itself.”

Palmer moved to the old Rainbow Valley Camp with her husband and five children after her father bought the property more than 30 years ago.

In a statement to The Advertiser, Palmer credits the property’s upkeep, the couple’s work in the film industry and extensive overseas travel as the main motivator behind the sale.

“While Adelaide will always be home, we’ll be based in Byron Bay for the next year as (husband and actor) Mark (Webber) develops his TV show set to film there,” she told The Advertiser.

“When we’re back in Adelaide, we’ll look for something ‘turnkey’ that better fits our on-the-go lifestyle.”
