Househunters inspecting a worker’s cottage were in for a shock with Olympic gold medallist Bronte Campbell greeting them at the door – and she has another surprise waiting in the wings.
Ms Campbell has listed her four bedroom, two bathroom, double garage home in Brisbane’s Coorparoo for sale by private treaty, with her real estate agents Shannon Gordon and Mikaela Crone of Place Bulimba looking for offers in the high $1ms.

The star swimmer told The Courier-Mail that she decided to “stick around’ to add a personal touch at her first ever open house.
“It’d be lovely to maybe meet the potential new owner of the house – hopefully they’re here today – and pass on the torch to the next family that’s going to be in here,” she said.
Ms Campbell said her family spent last weekend repainting the entire home right down to the white picket fence, which now looks “so good” she fell in love with the classic Queensland property again.
She was armed with a signed Australian Olympic team shirt that she plans to gift whoever the new owner is.
“I felt like I was leaving Queensland and I wanted to leave something behind,” she said.
“So whoever ends up buying the home, I’ll throw in a signed shirt from the Tokyo Olympics. I was actually in Brisbane when I was training for Tokyo Olympics, so it’s a nice little memento for whoever the new family is that gets to take over the house”.
Mr Campbell bought the four bedroom, two bathroom, double lockup garage house eight years ago in October 2016, after moving out of a Bowen Hills apartment she shared with fellow Olympian, her sister Cate.
The home has potential to be a double income earner for an investor, or a home and side hustle for an owner-occupier with a self contained one bedroom with kitchenette and lounge unit downstairs.
The property is on a 405sq m block in a quiet cul-de-sac, just five minutes from the Gabba, which is earmarked as one of the venues for the Brisbane Olympics in 2032.
